Rejoice, My Soul!
- Rejoice, my soul, in quiet praise,
Kneel in the half light of the gathering Spring,
Honour the passing of the days
Until He is earth's victim, then Heaven's King. - Rejoice, my soul, in gentle hands
Whose bounty is unseen except to bless,
Content to give what Heaven demands
In token of our Saviour's righteousness. - Rejoice, my soul, in silent bliss,
Empty all passion for His Passion's crown
And, fit for Easter happiness,
Rejoice in how He saved us for His own.
