Christmas Town
Jesus calls the reindeer in,
Wise men huddle on a sleigh,
Joseph drinking at the inn,
Robins nesting in the hay:
Snow men line the empty street
Where the star is shining down,
Santa and the shepherds meet,
In the square of Christmas town.
Herod at his market stall
Selling gold and silver crowns,
"Jingle Bells”, the angels call,
Filling sacks in dressing gowns,
Chestnuts roasting on the fire
In the stable snug and warm,
Joseph practising the lyre,
Jesus in his mother's arms.
Santa brings a load of straw,
Jesus Christ pretends to sleep,
Presents on the stable floor,
Will he dare to take a peep?
All the elves begin to sing,
Santa reverently kneels down,
Everyone is worshipping
Christ the King of Christmas Town.
