The Bread of Live
- Sustaining manna came from God by Moses pleading prayer
And was, in the Old Covenant, but temporally given;
But that bread which I am to you of spiritual life,
Is everlasting of the Father, binding You to heaven. - As God's dear Son sent down to you I am the Bread of Life;
If you believe and come to Me your souls shall know not dearth
Nor thirst for saving drink which He provides for you through Me;
I am his Servant to perform His will upon His earth. - This life is transient and your concentration on its toils
Distracts you from your daily need to love, believe and pray
That, through the Bread of Life in me, your souls will fitly face
My Father when he calls you to Himself on the Last Day.
