O Holy Spirit, Treasury Sublime

  1. O Holy Spirit, treasury sublime
    Of every Grace and wisdom God has wrought,
    The guardian of our fellowship Divine
    And the Salvation that His son has bought:
    No key but Faith
    No limit but our own,
    The sacred mystery
    That God has made known.
  2. O noble patron of wisdom's pursuit,
    The orchestrator of man's highest feats,
    The bard of nature and the source of truth,
    The mind's enlivener and its best retreat:
    No door but hope,
    Its promise beckoning,
    Through the divine
    In human reckoning.
  3. O Holy Master of the art of prayer,
    Our skilful scientist of Sacrament,
    Unceasing partner in our witnessing
    And truthful master of the Testament:
    Nothing but love
    Is tribute to the Throne
    Whose reign has made
    Each earthly thing His own.
