Eight

  1. In jubilant oration we gather for the feast
    In love and adoration of our defining priest
    Who, as the Lamb unblemished, was victim, Saviour, King,
    Triumphant as He yielded to earthly posturing.
  2. His glorious Resurrection fulfilled His offering
    At table, then at Calvary with dreadful suffering,
    And that first Easter evening at Emmaus he broke bread,
    Confirming that the world would share His body in His stead.
  3. And so, in seeking pardon for all our sinful deeds
    We gather in the Spirit, intent on heavenly needs;
    We recognise our weakness but feel our strength restored
    In the Most Blessed Sacrament of Jesus Christ Our Lord.
