Thirty One

  1. Bless-ed Communion, Liberating call
    To Your created long in Adam's thrall:
    Whose elements unlock the mortal gate
    Confining us to our corporeal state.
  2. Incarnate Godhead in the loving Son,
    By willing fiat our salvation won
    But, not content his story to bequeath,
    He left Himself to those who would believe.
  3. Thus, taking human form of the divine,
    The Son is left to us through bread and wine,
    The Spirit mends the breach of God and man,
    At one with us as before time began.
