Forty Seven
- Thy human pain in sacrifice
Is more, O Lord, than we can bear;
As those below Thy wounded feet
We suffer as if we were there. - And yet our time at Calvary
That bleakest day, though hard, is short,
Between The Eucharist of love
And triumph that Thy suffering brought. - And so in love and justice we
Should feel Thy pain in Eucharist
And not forget it on the day
The Tomb brought forth Our Risen Christ.
